We are a multi-disciplinary design studio working across a huge range of scales, from wristwatches to some of the world’s largest timber structures.
We consist of 3 teams - industrial design, spatial design and computational design - but these teams are highly interconnected and co-dependent. We strongly believe that the experiences gained at one scale can have a hugely positive impact at a totally different scale, and so we actively encourage the intermingling of our work. The wide breadth of projects we undertake gives us an unparalleled library of experiences to draw on for all our work and a unique perspective on how to solve problems.
Achieving simplicity and innovation is central to our process.
Simplicity comes from resolving something at its most fundamental level, reducing it to its core elements. Innovation comes from the desire to develop new and progressive ideas, to create things that have not been imagined before.
Frequently simplicity is achieved at the expense of innovation and vice versa, but harnessing these two often-opposing principles and making them heighten each other is the key to all of our work, at all scales and in all industries. We strive to bring simplicity to the complex.
This is our core team - we've all been around the block a few times - but it hasn't crushed our spirit.
