The scultpural head of Apex came from the aim of reducing off-axis noise as much as possible. Live vocal mics have sound coming at them from all angles, and as much of this needs to be rejected as possible to allow the singer's voice to come through. The Apex head is completely solid from the side, but completely porous from the front, providing unrivalled off-axis rejection and maximising your performance.
The head of Apex can be unscrewed an replaced with an other finish to create customisable combinations of materials. In addition, Aston plan to release a range of different head designs to further allow customisation of the microphone's style.
